4 Sixth Amendment
Инкорпорированная [ incorporation doctrine] поправка к Конституции США [ Constitution, U.S.], ратифицирована 15 декабря 1791. Составляет часть Билля о правах [ Bill of Rights]. Предусматривает право обвиняемого на "безотлагательное и публичное разбирательство дела беспристрастным судом присяжных" ["a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury"] в суде по месту совершения преступления, "право на информирование о сущности и основаниях обвинения, на очную ставку со свидетелями, показывающими против него, на обязательный вызов свидетелей, показывающих в его пользу" ["to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor"] и право "на помощь адвоката для своей защиты".
